Richard Coalmon

Mr. Richard Coalmon, 52, loving brother, and uncle who resided on North Brookfield, departed this life on August 31, 2001, in his residence. Richard was born in South Bend, Ind., to the late Ardell Grant and Tressie (Thornton) Coalmon, on December 14, 1948. He graduated from Central High School in 1966, and was honorably discharged for the United States Army in 1970. Mr. Coalmon retried from the WSBT Television Station, after 31 years of employment as a camera man.

 

Mr. Richard Coalmon leaves to cherish his memory, a fiancée, Virginia Hunt; eight sisters, Laverne Coalmon, Irene (James R.) King, Katherine Grant, Katherine Coalmon, all of South Bend, Indiana, Karen (Oscar) Griffin of Monee, Illinois, Carol Stewart of Denver, Colorado, Frances Grant of Benton Harbor, Michigan and Patricia Taylor of Niles, Michigan; four brothers, Sylvester Coalmon of South Bend, Indiana, James Coalmon and John (Betty) Coalmon of Bronx, New York, and Dr. Perry Coalmon of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, along with other relatives and friends. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Huey Coalmon, Carl Dixon and Walter Coalmon.

 

Funeral services for Mr. Coalmon will be held on Friday, September 7, 2001, at noon in the Pentecostal Cathedral Church of God in Christ, with visitation one hour before the service. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery. Alford's Mortuary has been entrusted with arrangements.
