Orville L. Cobb

Orville L. Cobb, 86, of South Bend, Ind., passed away on Monday morning, June 26, in Regency Place Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was born on Oct. 25, 1913, in South Bend, to George W. Cobb and Laura S. Schaufuss.

 

On Oct. 25, 1935, he married the former Jane J. Bourdon, who died on Jan. 1, 1986. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Frank, Donald and Gordon Cobb. He is survived by his daughters, Judith Blue (William) of South Bend, Andrea Thompson (Harold) of Elgin, Ill., and Linda Reily (Thomas) of Golden, Colo.; and by seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

 

Mr. Cobb retired as a sales representative for the Gibson Company in South Bend. He was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in South Bend.

 

Services were conducted at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 28, in the Chapel at Saint Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, Ind. Rev. Daniel Berger officiated. Friends called on the family from 11 a.m. to 12 noon on Wednesday in the WELSHEIMER NORTH FUNERAL HOME, 17033 Cleveland Road.
