Johnny B. Coburn

SOUTH BEND - Johnny B. Coburn, 63, of 1421 E. Campeau St., died at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Joseph's Medical Center. Dr. Michael J. O'Connell, deputy coroner, ruled the death a suicide. Mr. Coburn was a construction worker. He was born March 14, 1931, in Memphis, Tenn.

 

On Feb. 12, 1955, in Walls, Miss., he married Beatrice Robinson. She survives with five daughters, Veronica Flowers of South Bend, Virginia Coburn, Diana Tapes and Gwendolyn Reveles, all of Chicago, and Sherry Williams of Memphis, Tenn.; three sons, Johnny Jr. and Errick, both of South Bend, and Tyrone of Chicago; a stepdaughter, Jacquelin Blair of Memphis; two stepsons, Lawrence Walls of Memphis and Anthony Walls of Chicago; 20 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; two sisters, Virginia Marshall and Alice Rivers, both of Memphis; and two brothers, Cornelius Yancy and Joe B. Yancy, both of Beloit, Wis.
