Reah Cohen, 98, of St. Paul’s Retirement Community, South Bend, Ind., died on Saturday, Dec. 26, at St. Joseph Medical Center. Reah was born in Russia on Dec. 25, 1900.

As Reah Newman, she married Abraham L. Cohen on Aug. 24, 1946, in South Bend. Abraham died on July 20, 1995. Reah is survived by her brother, Joseph J. Newman of Sarasota, Fla.; two nieces, Diane German of Riverwood, Ill., and Lynn Newman of Buffalo Grove, Ill.; and by a nephew, Geoffrey Newman of South Bend. Reah retired from Associates Corporation as an executive secretary for many years. During her working years, Reah was a participate in local theatrical group and a professional women's employment group. She was also a member of AARP.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. on Sunday at the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 435 S. Ironwood Drive. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, Ind. There will be no visitation. Memorial contributions may be given to the Diabetes Association of St. Joseph County or to the St. Pauls Retirement. Community's Assistative Living Center.
