Helen H. Cook, 91, of Port Clinton, died Thursday at Riverview Senior Health Care Campus, Oak Harbor, Ohio.

 

She was born in South Bend, Ind., the daughter of the now deceased Rene and Elodia (VandeWalle) Hennion. She married Claude C. Cook March 29, 1932 in South Bend, Ind. Mr. Cook preceded her in death on Sept. 24, 1997.Mrs. Cook was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton.

 

Surviving are her sons William R. (Beatrice) Cook of Rodgers Ark., C. Joe (Sandy) Cook of Somonauk, Ill., George E. (Estel) Cook of Stanley, Idaho; daughter Judith M. (Jerome Oleksa of Port Clinton; her sister, Sister Mary Claire Hennion of Toledo; grandchildren Charles C. Cook of Port Clinton, Steven J. (Linda) Oleksa of Lakewood, Brian A. Oleksa of Nashville, Tenn.,Cheryl (Don) Oleska Cook of Oak Harbor; along with 12 out of town grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband and brothers Joseph and George Hennion.

 

Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with visitation one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Raymond Ensman will officiate

 

Burial at Catawba Island Cemetery, Port Clinton.

 

Memorials: In lieu of flowers to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
