Vera Juanita Cooper

SOUTH BEND - Vera Juanita Cooper, 77, of Harrison Avenue, died at 1:10 a.m. Monday in Memorial Hospital after an illness. Mrs. Cooper was born July 27, 1918, in Green Hill, Ind.

 

On Feb. 15, 1940, in Lafayette, Ind., as Vera J. Biddle, she married Marion Cooper. He died Dec. 22, 1971. She is survived by a daughter, Kay Frances Wood of South Bend; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a sister, Beulah Patnaude of South Bend; and six brothers, Lewis Biddle and Ivan Biddle, both of South Bend, Thurman Biddle of Williamsport, Ind., William Biddle of Attica, Ind., Rupert Biddle of High Ridge, Mo., and Frank Beedle of Garden City, Texas.

 

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 1201 S. Michigan St. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Matthew Cathedral.
