Jodocus Cooreman

Jodocus “Doc” Cooreman, 75.   Of 230 S. Meade Street, a retired farmer, died Sunday evening in the residence of his daughter, Mrs. George M. Landuyt, New Carisle. He had been ill for three months. Born in Aeltre, Belgium on June 4, 1883, he had lived in South Bend for 32 years, coming here from Tracy, Minn. Survioving are one daughter, Mrs. Landuyt; and five sons, Marcel C., Steve S., Paul M., and Henry J., all of New Carlisle, and August of South Bend; 18 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one brother, Paul Cooreman of South Bend; Mrs. Jules Verschaeve of Belgium.

 

Friends may call after 6 p.m. today in th DeVos Funeral Chapel in Mishawaka. Services will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday in Sacred Heart Belgiun Catholice Church and burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Tuseday in the chapel.
