Paul Cooreman, 91, of 59650 Peach, died this morning in the Cardinal Nursing Home after an extended illness. He was a retired farmer. He was born July 15, 1887 in Aeltre, Belgium and had lived in South Bend for 73 years coming from Belgium. His first wife, the former Julia Coddens died in 1937. He is survived by his second wife, the former Zoe Dhaere; a daughter, Mrs. Alice Scherpereel of South Bend; a son Al of South Bend; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. Friday in the St. Joseph Funeral Home. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Holy Family Catholic Church with burial in Highland Cemetery.
