Obituary: Anthony F. Coquillard Sr.

April 17, 1930 -- April 12, 2004

                                       

Anthony F. Coquillard Sr., 73, of North Port, Fla., died on Monday, April 12, in Port Charlotte, Fla.

He was born on April 17, 1930, in South Bend, Ind., and was a truck driver for Tyler Refrigeration in Niles, Mich., for 35 years. Anthony married Natalie M. (Snyder) on Nov. 26, 1955, in Niles. She preceded him in death on April 10, 2000. He married Helen (Sader) Coquillard in February 2002 in North Port. She survives him.

Anthony was a member of San Pedro Catholic Church in North Port. He was an Army veteran, serving during the Korean War. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, VFW Post 8203, American Legion #254 Taneytown, and the Moose Lodge, all of North Port. Prior to his move to Florida, Anthony was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, South Bend.

He is survived by his wife, Helen; two sons, Anthony F. (Janis) Coquillard Jr. and Charles E. Coquillard, both of North Port; a daughter, Machelle (Philip) Hosler of South Bend; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. today, April 15, in San Pedro Catholic Church, North Port. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, April 19, at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, Ind., and will be officiated by Father Paul Doyle.
