Robert E. Corroto

SOUTH BEND - Robert E. Corroto, 67, of Biscayne Drive, died at 4:31 p.m. Saturday in Memorial Hospital. Mr. Corroto retired in 1992 as assistant area director of the Wage and Hour Division of the U.S. Department of Labor after 37 years of service. He was born Aug. 23, 1927, in Youngstown, Ohio, and lived in South Bend since 1976. On July 19, 1958, in Winchester, Va., he married Kathryn Neal. She survives with a daughter, Nancy Fetz of Henryville, Ind.; a son, Robert N. of South Bend; two granddaughters; and three brothers, Vincent and Anthony, both of Youngstown, and Thomas of Campfield, Ohio. He was a graduate of Ohio State University and a veteran of World War II.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Rossi Brothers Funeral Home, Youngstown. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Youngstown. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today in Hickey Funeral Home, 17131 Cleveland Road, and two hours before services Wednesday in Rossi Brothers Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
