MISHAWAKA – Services for Jean A. Cortier, 60, of 1309 Southlea Drive, who died Friday in his home, following an apparent heart attack, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Monica’s Catholic Church. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today and 4 to 9 p.m. Monday in the Kaniewski and Sons Funeral Home, where the rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Monday. He was a World War II veteran.

SOUTH BEND - Jean A. Cortier Sr., 60, of 1309 Southlea Drive, died Friday evening at home after an apparent heart attack. He was an employee of the Studebaker Corp. for 22 years, and was currently employed at White Farm Equipment as a foreman. He was born Oct. 24, 1919 in South Bend, and had lived here all his life. On Dec. 16, 1961 in South Bend, he married Linda Milner, who survives along with seven daughters, Charlotte, Jacqueline and Janine, all of home, Mrs. Vicki Felty of South Bend, Mrs. Gail Flowers of Mishawaka, Mrs. Deborah Howard of Rosedale, Ind. and Mrs. Coleen Witeaker of Sparta, Tenn.; two sons. Jean A. Jr. at home and Terry L. of South Bend; eight grandchildren; a sister Miss Esther Carbierner of South Bend and his mother, Mrs. Helen Carbierner of South Bend.

 

Services will be at 10 am Tuesday in St. Monica’s Catholic Church with burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 2 to 9 pm Sunday and from 4 to 9 pm Monday in the Knaiewski and Sons Funeral Home. He was a World War II veteran.
