Sister M. Wilma CSC, 97, of Saint Mary’s Convent, died at 9:20 p.m. Thursday at the convent, after a long illness. She was born Catherine Costelloe in Kkildimo County, Ireland. She entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross on Dec. 4, 1904, coming from Ireland. She was received as a novice on Aug. 8, 1905, and professed her vows on Aug. 15, 1907. She celebrated her 75th anniversary of her religious profession on Aug. 15, 1982. She was assigned to various housekeeping duties, serving in Salt Lake City, Utah; Lancaster, Ps.; Alexandria, Va.; and New York City. She went to St. Mary’s Convent in 1956 where she lived until her death.

 

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Church of Our Lady of Loretto at St. Mary’s with internment in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery on the campus. Friends may call  today in the convent parlors. A wake will be observed at 7 p.m. today.
