Sister M. Lucilla CSC, 75, a nurseat the student infirmary at Notre Dame from 1938 to 1953, died early today in St. Mary’s Convent after a serious illness. She was born Anna Coughlin in Largo, Ind. in 1889 and entered the Sisters of the Holy Cross in 1913 and receiving the habit in 1914. She made her profession of vows in 1919. She graduated as a nurse at St. John’s Hospital, Anderson, Ind. During her community life was was stationed at St. John’s; Our Saviour’s Hospital, Jacksonville, Ill.; and St. Mary’s Hospital, Cairo, Ill. Illness forced her to retire two years ago. Survivors include a niece, Sister Mary Immaculata CSC of St. Mary’s College.

 

A requiem high mass will be at 7 a.m. Saturday in the Church of Our Lady of Loretto and buial will follow in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery on the campus. Friends may call in the convent parlor.
