Edward William Court

SOUTH BEND - Edward William Court, 81, of South Bend,
passed away on Friday, Sept. 26, in the Sanctuary at Holy Cross,
South Bend. He was born on April 7, 1927, in Elkhart, IN, to the
late Elma (Noel) and Edward Court. On August 18, 1951, in
Gary, IN, he married Phyllis Mahorney, who preceded him in
death in November 2002. Mr. Court is survived by two daughters,
Patricia (Margaret Hohenstein) Court of Ithaca, NY, and
Sheryl (Christina Hughes) of St. Paul, MN; a son, William
(Martha) Court of South Bend; two grandchildren, John (Jennifer)
Court of Ft. Wayne, IN, and Karen Court of South Bend; two
great-granddaughters, Kennedy and Kassidy Court of Ft. Wayne; and
a brother, David (Jewel) Court of Lakeville, IN. Mr. Court was a
retired elementary school principal. He received his Masters in
Education from Indiana University, Bloomington, and served in the
Army Air Corps.
A family memorial service will be held today
in the Welsheimer Family Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland
Road, South Bend. Burial services will be held at a later date at
Evergreen Cemetery in Colorado Springs, CO. There will be no
visitation. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial
contributions be made to the National Parkinson Foundation, 1501
N.W. 9th Avenue, Miami, FL 33136.
