William R. Cox

William R. Cox, 56, was born in Mishawaka to William O. Cox and Clara H. (Goethals) Cox. Three children were born from that union, William R., Thomas l. and Jeanne A. Cox. Bill was a kind and gentle man. He loved to read, to fish, to cook out on the grill, or just listen to his brother-in-law's war stories or endless Mississippi stories. He was loved and will be greatly missed.

Bill met the love of his life, Michelle Forte, in Brooklyn, N.Y. They were married April 27, 2000. They moved back to Indiana which Bill referred to as "God's country." Bill is now with his Lord, his parents, a nephew, Jacob Luther, and his wife, Michelle, who preceded his passing. Bill leaves behind a son, Andrew J. Cox of Mishawaka; a brother, Tom Cox his wife, Barb of Grantsburg, Wis., and their children, Jeromy and Jennifer; a sister, Jeanne, and her husband, Don Luther, and their children, Aaron, Megan and Quinn Li of Culver, Indiana; a mother-in-law, Vera Forte of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and many extended family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on December 9 in Knox Church of the Nazarene, Knox, Indiana, at noon (Mishawaka/South Bend time). A dinner to follow in the fellowship hall for family and friends.
