Norman J. Coyner

Norman J. Coyner, 79, of Osceola, passed away at 9:45 a.m. Monday, May 15, 2006, in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend.

 

Norman was born on March 16, 1927, in Mishawaka, to the late Herschel and Ottie (Measel) Coyner.

 

On March 15, 1952, he married Mary Lou Murphy in Mishawaka.

 

Norman was a graduate of Mishawaka High School, class of 1945. He proudly served his country during WWII in the Army and was honorably discharged in 1946. He was a member of V.F.W. Post 360. He retired from the former Dodge Manufacturing Co. as a tool & die supervisor.

 

Norman is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Mary Lou of Osceola; three daughters, Laura Coyner of Mishawaka, Linda Coyner of Osceola and Marcy (Ricardo) Garcia of South Bend; one son, David (Leslie) Coyner of Mishawaka; seven grandchildren, Tim, Andy, Jessica, Erin, Tiffany, Megan and Natasha; and two great-grandchildren, Mario and Emmett.

 

He is also survived by two sisters, Carol (Martin) Hess of Florida and Charlotte Coyner of Missouri; and one brother, Joseph (Connie) Coyner of Mishawaka.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Robert; and one sister, Lois Szabo.

 

There will be no services or visitation. Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola, is handling the arrangements.
