Harold M. Craft, 71, of Irish Hills Drive, South Bend, Ind., died at 1:50 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, in Regency Place Nursing Home. Mr. Craft was born on Dec. 17, 1924 in Bremen, Ind. He retired in 1980 from Ziolkowski Construction Co. after many years of service as a carpenter's superintendent.

Mr. Craft was a World War II Army veteran, and a member of the South Bend Carpenter's Union.

On Feb. 19, 1950 in Walkerton, Ind., he married the former Donna L. Whitaker, who preceded him in death on June 15, 1990. Mr. Craft is survived by a daughter, Brenda K. (Doug) Laymon of South Bend; two sons, Brian (Denise) Craft of South Bend and Brent Craft of Mishawaka, Ind.; seven grandchildren; and two sisters, Doris King of Tipton, Ind. and Laura Rademacher of Plant City, Fla.

Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 24, at the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 1201 S. Michigan St., where the funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Burial services will be private at Southlawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or to the donor's choice.
