SOUTH BEND - Kevin Lee Crain, 41, of Las Vegas, Nevada, formerly of South Bend, passed away at 10:09 a.m. on Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at the Community Regional Medical Center, Fresno, CA, as the result of injuries sustained in an accident. Kevin was born on March 25, 1967, in Mishawaka, IN to LeRoy and Linda Sue (McKelvey) Crain. His mother, Linda Sue, preceded him in death. Kevin was a 1987 graduate from the Indiana State School for the deaf. Kevin is survived by his parents, LeRoy and Mary Lee (Kinion) Crain of South Bend; his sister, Lori Craw of Plymouth; his brother, Keith (Lori) Crain of South Bend; and his five nephews, Brett, Brad and Bryan Craw, and Zacary and Tyler Crain.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 10, 2008 at the Trinity Evangelical Free Church, 61770 Miami Road, South Bend. Rev. Craig Clapper, pastor, will officiate. Graveside services and burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Friends may visit with the family from 2-6 p.m. on Saturday, August 9, at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan Street, South Bend, and after 1:00 p.m. on Sunday at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Kevin Lee Crain may be donated to Hope Rescue Mission, 532 S. Michigan Street, South Bend, IN 46601 or to the National Association of the Deaf, 8630 Fenton Street, Suite 820, Silver Spring, MD 20910.
