Erma P. Cressy, 56, of East Edison Road, Osceola, Ind., passed away after an illness at 1:42 a.m. Friday, Sept. 7, in Memorial Hospital. Erma was born Sept. 25, 1944, in Mishawaka, Ind., and was a lifelong area resident. Erma retired in 2001 from Ameritech after 27 years of service as a telephone operator.
On Aug. 25, 1962, in South Bend, Erma Hemig married Thomas J. Cressy, who passed away on May 13, 2000. She is survived by a daughter, Laurie Durham of Whitstown, Ind.; two sons, Mike Cressy of Mishawaka and David Cressy of Chillicothe, Ill.; three grandchildren; and by a sister, Janice Gosa of Mishawaka.
Services will be at 10 am. Monday, Sept. 10, in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka, where friends may call from 4 to 8 pm. today, Sept. 9. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
