Jessie J. Crimmins

Jessie J. Crimmins, 68, of 735 Sorin Street, died at 1:15 p.m. Thursday in St. Joseph Hospital. He had been ill for six months. Born in Peru, Ind. on Jan. 22, 1891.

 

Mr. Crimmins came to South Bend from Logansport. In 1919 in South Bend he married Grace Mae Couch, who survives. Mr Crimmins was retired from Studebaker-Packard Corp. where he had been employed as director of traffic. Other survivors  are two sons, John of South Bend and Fred of Valparaiso; 10 grandchildren; two brothers, Samuel P. and William J, and a sister, Mrs. Daniel Murphy, all of Logansport.

 

Friends may call after noon Saturday in the Walsh-Bilancio Colonial Chapel, 624 N. Notre Dame Ave. Services will be a.m. Monday in St. Joseph Catrholic Church, with Rev. Thomas F. Peyton CSC, pastor, officiating. 

 

Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park.

 

Mr. Crimmins was a member of the South Bend Transportation Club, the Grandfathers Club and the Holy Name Society of St. Joseph Church. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
