Martha Agnes Crimmins

Martha A. Crimmins, 64, of 813 E. Miner St., died about 10:30 Friday in her home.

 

She retired April 1, 1990 from St.Joseph Medical Center, after 38 years as a registered nurse.

 

She was born July 22, 1926 in Gary and had lived in this area since 1945, coming from Plymouth.

 

On Oct. 4, 1952 she married Frederick H. Crimmins. He survives with three daughters, Diane Humphrey and Amy Crimmins, both of South Bend, and Bea Kaczmarek of Goshen; four sons, James, Daniel, Samuel and Joseph, all of South Bend; 11 grandchildren; five sisters, Bernadette Parker and Corinne Conway, both of California, Beatrice Fisher of Valparaisio, Jeanne Liddell of Marion, Ind., and Renee Shadrick of Lakeville; and two brothers, Bernard Liddell and James Liddell, both of California.

 

She was a member of St. Joseph Church, where she served non several councils and committees. She was a member of Holy Cross School of Nursing Alumni Association, and of Indiana Nursing Association.

 

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph Catholic Church.

 

Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.

 

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the church, where a vigil service will be conducted at 7 p.m.
