Mary Csakany

SOUTH BEND - Mary Csakany, 71, of Jackson Trail, died at 1:07 a.m. Sunday in Memorial Hospital after an illness. Mrs. Csakany was born Jan. 30, 1924, in South Bend. On Nov. 17, 1946, in South Bend, as Mary Horvath, she married Julius Csakany. He died Oct. 22, 1990. She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Creech and Maribeth Csakany, both of South Bend; two sons, Nathan of Brier, Wash., and Gregory of South Bend; seven grandchildren; a sister, Elizabeth Gerencser of South Bend; and two brothers, Frank Horvath of Houston and Carl Horvath of South Bend.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Zahoran Funeral Home. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 6 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
