Frances A. Csaszar

SOUTH BEND - Frances A. Csaszar, 83, residing in South Bend, passed away at 8:15 p.m. Tuesday, January 22, 2008, in the emergency room of Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center. She was born October 3, 1924, in South Bend, to Stanley and Anna (Atembrowski) Kaczmarczyk, and had remained a lifelong resident of this community.

 

On November 30, 1946, in Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church, South Bend, as Frances Kaczmarczyk, she was united in marriage to Joseph M. Csaszar Sr. He preceded her in death on September 9, 2004. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Charlotte "Lottie" Cuzinski, Josephine Elli and Evelyn Kaczmarczyk; and five brothers, John, Adam, Roy, Chester and Casimir Kaczmarczyk. Mrs. Csaszar was a homemaker, loving mother and grandmother. She was a longtime member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Two daughters survive her, Annette Hemig and Jeannette (Basil, "Buck") Shepherd, both of South Bend; two sons, Joseph M. (Karen J.) Csaszar Jr. and Stephen Csaszar of South Bend. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, Diane (Aaron) Hipsher of South Bend, David Hemig of Delphi, IN, Bethany (Michael) Franks of Iuka, MS, Rebecca (Christopher) Kaade, Jeffery (Megan) Shepherd, Todd Shepherd, Jessica M. Csaszar, Joseph M. Csaszar III, Jacquelyn M. Csaszar and Jennifer Williams, all of South Bend. Thirteen great-grandchildren, a sister, Mary Farkas of South Bend, and two sisters-in-law, Mary Irvin of Granger and Rose Kaczmarczyk of South Bend, survive Frances as well.

 

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 26, in the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 South Michigan Street, South Bend. Rev. Chuck Herman, pastor of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, will officiate. Graveside services and burial will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. today, January 25, in the funeral home, where a parish Rosary will be said at 4:30 p.m. Contributions in memory of Mrs. Csaszar may be made to Boy Scouts of America, 1340 South Bend Ave., South Bend, IN 46617; or to Southern Care Hospice, 310 West McKinley, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
