SOUTH BEND - Lillian C. Cubberley, 70, passed away on June
2, 2008, in Memorial Hospital. Lillian was born March 26, 1938,
in South Bend, to the late Bernard and Clementine (Wolkiewicz)
Janowczyk. She was also preceded in death by her sister,
Mary Jobin, and by a son, Bill Stillson.
On July 9, 1983, she married Kenneth
Cubberley in South Bend, who survives along with her three sons,
Keith (Jami) Stillson of South Bend, James (Linda) Stillson of
Indianapolis, IN, and Paul (Debbie) Stillson of Leesburg, GA; a
daughter-in-law, Jan Stillson of South Bend; five stepchildren,
Leslie A. Brown of Grant City, IL, Patty (Tim) Pranger
of Edwardsville, IL, Kira (Kevin) Honnoll of Austin, TX, Keith
Cubberley of Tucson, AZ, and Sean (Colleen) Cubberley of Durham,
NC; 17 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and a
brother, David Janowczyk. Lillian enjoyed gardening and sailing.
Her life revolved around her family. She was a member of Christ
the King Catholic Church.
Visitation will be at 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday,
June 5th, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 18276 East Ireland Road,
South Bend, where a Rosary will be prayed at 5:30 p.m. A Mass of
Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, June 6th. Family and
friends will meet at 10:30 a.m. in Christ the King Catholic
Church. Burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. In
lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude
Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN
38105.
