Mrs. Stanley (Carrie) Cukrowicz

February 28, 1898 – March 12, 1982

Mrs. Carrie Cukrowicz, 84, of 2709 Westmoor, died at 11:25am Friday in St Joseph’s Medical Center after a lengthy illness.

She was born on February 28, 1898, in Poland, and lived here for 79 years, coming from Poland.  On May 7, 1917, in South Bend, as Carrie Kruszka, she married Stanley A. Cukrowicz, who survives.  Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Alice Kapsa and Mrs. Dorothy Nowostawski, both of South Bend; two sons, Ervin of Mishawaka and Donald of South Bend; eight grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

Services will be at 10am Monday in St Casimir Catholic Church.  Rev. Howard Kuhns, CSC, pastor, will officiate.  Burial will be in St Joseph Cemetery.  Friends may call from 6 to9pm today and 2 to9pm Sunday in the Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home, where a parish vigil service will be held at 7:30pm Sunday.
