Lillian A. Curtiss

Aug. 9, 1902 - March 27, 1999

Lillian A. Curtiss, 96, residing at the Hamilton Grove Retirement Community, New Carlisle, Ind., formerly of N. Middleboro Avenue, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away of natural causes at 5:40 p.m. on Saturday, March 27, at the retirement community.

Mrs. Curtiss was formerly employed at Oliver Plow Works, Wilson Brothers, the Coffee Ranch, and the Philadelphia Candy Store, all in South Bend, Ind.

Mrs. Curtiss was born on Aug. 9, 1902, in South Bend, to the late Ferdinand and Pauline (Krueger) Gollnick. She had been a lifelong area resident.

On July 3, 1943, in South Bend, she married Harry L. Curtiss, who preceded her in death January of 1988. She was also preceded in death by a sister and six brothers.

Mrs. Curtiss is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Curtiss was a lifetime member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in South Bend.

Private funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today at the Palmer Funeral Home, South Bend. Rev. Gregory Fiechtner, pastor of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park.
