SOUTH BEND - Services for Walter
Czarnecki, 67, of Kapsa Drive, who died at 2:30 p.m.
Wednesday in Memorial Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Holy
Family Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday in St. Joseph Funeral
Home, where a parish rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Memorial
contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County Inc.
Mr. Czarnecki retired from the South Bend
Community School Corp. He was born Aug. 30, 1928, in South Bend.
On April 14, 1956, in South Bend, he married Pearl Kasznia.
She survives with two sons, Kevin and Derrick, both of South
Bend; five grandchildren; and a sister, Dorothy Piecha of
Chicago. He was a veteran of the Korean War and a member of
American Legion Bendix Post 284.
