Mary A. Dabros

Mary A. Dabros, 76, of Eckman Street, passed away at 1:41am on Monday, November 2, in the St Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend.

 

Mrs. Dabros retired in 1984 as a claims adjuster with the Liberty Mutual Insurance Group after several years of employment.

 

She was born on May 9, 1922, in South Bend, and was a lifelong resident.

 

In 1951, as Mary A. Janiszczak, she married Clem Dabros in South Bend.  He preceded her in death on January 1, 1978.  She was also preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Regina (Rakowski) Janiszczak; a brother, Daniel Janizak; and by a grandson, Jacob Kenneth Dabros.

 

Mrs. Dabros is survived by a daughter, Karen A Anderson of Atlanta GA; a son, Kenneth C. Dabros of South Bend; three grandchildren, Jessica Ann Dabros, Luke Anthony Dabros and Jerry Bruce Tipton; two sisters, Loretta Zmyslo of South Bend and Rita Ruszkowski, also of South Bend; and by a brother, Joseph Janiszczak of South Bend.

 

She belonged to Star of Victory Lodge 83, Inc.; Bowlers Country Club; St Joseph Parish in South Bend; and was a US Navy veteran of WW II.

 

Gravesite services were held at 11am Tuesday, November 3, in St Joseph Polish Roman Catholic Cemetery, Rev. Anthony Szakaly, CSC, officiating.
