SOUTH BEND - Ruth L. Dahl, 86, of Valleyview Healthcare Center, Elkhart, formerly of Arrowhead Court, died at 5:45 p.m. Friday at the center. Mrs. Dahl worked for the former Wilson Brothers as a seamstress. She was born Nov. 19, 1908, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident.

On 1926, in South Bend, as Ruth Bower, she married Phillip Dahl. He died July 2, 1981. Surviving are a daughter, Doris Kaizer of South Bend; a son, Harold A. of Mishawaka; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty Conley of Niles; and a brother, Oral W. Bower of Arlington, Texas. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday in Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 435 S. Ironwood Drive. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
