Arthur W. “Bud” Dailey, 66, of 3904 Montgolfier Place, died Saturday morning in his home. He was a principal of Burgner Retail Establishments, retiring in 1965. Born July 6, 1921 in Chicago, he had lived here since 1930, coming from Indianapolis.

 

Surviving are a daughter, M. Christine Schulz of Chicago; two sons, Daniel L. of Minneapolis, Minn., and David A. of Menio Park, Calif.; four grandchildren; and a sister, Loraine Ullery of South Bend.

 

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday in Welscheimer Funeral Home. Cremation will take place at Michiana Crematory.

 

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home

 

Mr. Dailey was a graduate of DePauw University, a member of Delta Chi fraternity, and a former member of  the Elks and South Bend Country Club. He was a first lieutenant in the Army during World War II, serving in Japan.

Editor: He was originally married to Margaret Virginia Bruggner, and the daughter M. Christine is from that marriage. They got divorced.
