Sister M. Florentine CSC, 48, professor of chemistry and head of the department at St. Mary’s College, died Sunday at St. Mary’s, after a sudden illness. She was a member of the facility since 1920. She was born Mary Theresa Daly in Philo, Ill. on April 13, 1890, and entered St. Mary’s College as a student in 1914. She received the habit of the Holy Cross in 1918 and made her final vows in 1923. Survivors include a sister, Sister M. Agnes Regina CSC.

 

A requiem mass will be at 6:30 a.m today and internment was in the community cemetery.
