SOUTH BEND - Mary "Louise" Danch, 86, of Salem Drive, died at 11:25 p.m. Saturday in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center.

 

Survivors include her husband, Michael A. Jr.; two daughters, Mikki Beaty of Mishawaka and Sherri Housel of Winchester, Ind.; and a son, Michael J. of South Bend.

 

Private services will be held. There will be no visitation. Palmer Funeral Home-River Park is handling the arrangements.

Mary Danch (May 26, 1918 - Jan. 22, 2005).

Mary "Louise" Danch, 86, of South Bend, peacefully entered the Kingdom of God, Saturday, January 22, 2005, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born May 26, 1918, in Chester, South Carolina, to Luther and Mary McDaniel. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a sister.

On October 2, 1947, she Married Michael A. Danch, Jr., who survives along with their three children, Mikki' (Dave) Beaty of Mishawaka, Sherri (John) Housel of Winchester, Indiana, and Michael (Judi) Danch of South Bend. Three grandchildren, David (Tamie) Beaty of South Bend, Kelly (Scott) Johnston of Mishawaka and Ian Housel of Winchester; and her great-grandchildren, Sabrina, Kyler, Kara, Jacquelinee and Zeith Beaty, and Danielle and Haley Johnston.

Louise, originally from South Carolina, met her husband Mike while he was in the service. They returned to South Bend to raise their family. Louise brought with her a sweet southern drawl, a determined inner strength and a gentle kindness admired by all. Having worked at Newman's at Town & Country until retirement, Louise dedicated her entire life to her family. She was an incredible caring woman who made this world a better place with her special touch and nurturing love, and she'll be remembered and cherished in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A celebration of her life will be held in a private ceremony by her family. Cards may be sent to P.O.Box 910, Mishawaka, IN 46546. Contributions in Louise's name may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637.
