Mrs. Clarence E. Darkus

November 3, 1890 – April 12, 1945

Mrs. Katherine M. Darkus, aged 54, died at 10:25am today in her residence, 1229 Portage Avenue, following an illness of six weeks.

Born in Milford IN, November 3, 1890, she came to South Bend from Goshen IN, 38 years ago.  She was married in Benton Harbor MI, in 1917 to Clarence E. Darkus, who survives her.  Also surviving are a daughter, Marcie, at home; a son, Corp. Clarence E. Darkus, Jr, at Camp Howze TX and a sister, Mrs. Dora Rogers, Elkhart IN.
