OSCEOLA - Nancy L. (Helvey) Davis,
66, residing on West Adams Street, Osceola, Ind., passed away at
6:15 p.m. on Thur-sday, Feb. 19, in Memorial Hospital, South
Bend, Ind. Mrs. Davis was born on Aug. 24, 1931, in South Bend,
to the late John and Vivian (Hammer) Helvey, and
had been a lifelong resident of St. Joseph County.
On June 9, 1951, in South Bend, she married
Robert D. Davis, who survives. She is also survived by a
daughter, Rev. Candace L. Martin of Southgate, Mich.; two
sons, Robert L. Davis of Curwensville, Pa., and Rusty D. Davis of
Mishawaka, Ind.; six grandchildren; two step- grandsons; three
great-grandchildren; a sister, Shirley Reamer of South
Bend; and by two brothers, John Helvey of South Bend and Donald
Helvey of Englewood, Colo. Mrs. Davis was a member of Osceola
Church of the Brethren.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4
and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday in Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka
Ave., South Bend. Services for Mrs. Davis will be at 1 p.m. on
Tuesday in the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Joseph
Valley Memorial Park, Granger, Ind. Memorial contributions may be
made to the American Heart Association.
