Laurel Ann Dearborn

MISHAWAKA - Laurel Ann Dearborn, 49, of 706 River Pointe Place, died at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph's Medical Center, South Bend, from injuries in an Oct. 16 accident on Harrison Road. Mrs. Dearborn was employed as a customer service representative for Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. She was born Aug. 19, 1946, in Bridgeport, Conn., and lived in Mishawaka since 1984.

 

On Aug. 26, 1967, in Bridgeport, as Laurel Ann Bissenden, she married George R. Dearborn. He survives with a daughter, Laurel Anne Dearborn of Mishawaka; three sons, Christopher, Matthew and Mark, all of Mishawaka; two sisters, Deborah Roscoe of Frederick, Md., and Kathleen Smoot of Voorhees, N.J.; and a brother, William J. Bissenden of Bridgeport.

 

She was a candidate for city clerk in 1987 and council at-large in 1991, served as office manager of John Hiler re-election committee in 1988, and was a former Republican precinct committeeperson. She was vice chairwoman of Mishawaka Housing Authority, member of Strategic Plan Commission for Penn-Harris-Madison School Corp., was a court appointed volunteer for the Special Advocate Program of St. Joseph County, a member of St. Joseph County Literacy Council, and was past president of Grissom PTO.

 

Services will be in Bridgeport. Burial will be in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St.
