Paul J. De Caussemaker

Paul J. De Caussemaker, 89 of W. 10th Street, Mishawaka passed away on Thursday February 21st in Community Health Partners Hospital, Lorain, Ohio. Paul was born on May 29, 1912 as the son of the late August and Elodie (De Jaegher) De Caussemaker. A daughter Marie Adams of Sheffield Lake, Ohio preceded Paul in death in December 30, 1998; three brothers, Alphonse, Andre and Gustav De Caussemaker preceded Paul in death.

 

On June 19, 1935 in Sacred Heart Church, South Bend he married the former Madeline E. Leken who preceded him in death December 5, 1987. Paul is survived by a son-in-law Richard Adams of Sheffield Lake, Ohio; three grandchildren, Jennifer Knowlton of Sheffield Lake, OH, Christina (Michael) Turcola of Lakewood, OH, and Justine Tipton of Morristown, TN; four great-grandchildren, Jillian Marie Turcola, Austin Knowlton, Thomas Smith and Elizabeth Smith. Paul worked for Uniroyal for 37 years before retiring in 1974. He was a lifelong area resident. He was a member of St. Bavo's Catholic Church in Mishawaka, the BK Club. DeAmici's and the Eagles of Mishawaka.

 

Friends may call from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Sunday February 24 in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Monday February 25 in St. Bavo's Catholic Church, Mishawaka with Rev Matthew Sienkiewicz officiating. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Contributions in memory of Paul can be made to, St. Bavo's Project 2000, 511 W. 7th Street, Mishawaka, IN 46544.
