Felix DeClercq

A lifetime resident of Mishawaka, Felix DeClercq, aged 73, of 325 South Spring street, died at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in St. Joseph’s hospital following an illness of six months.

Mr. De Clercq was born here on May 1, 1876, and was married to Miss Linda Ferrettie.  She died April 27, 1943. 

 

He was an employee of the Dodge Manufacturing Corporation until the time of his illness.

 

Surviving are four nieces, Mrs. Norman Minzey and Mrs. Paul V. Clark, of Mishawaka; Mrs. Noble Lachot, of South Bend and Mrs. B. J. Smith, of California; and two nephews, Paul DeGroote, of Fort Knox, Ky., and James DeGroote, Elkhart, Ind. 

 

Friends may call in the Thallemer funeral home after 5 p.m. today and until the hour of services at 9 a.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph’s church.  Rev. Curt A. Suelzer, pastor, will officiate and burial will be in St. Joseph cemetery.

Funeral rites for Felix DeClercq, aged 73, of 325 South Spring street, who died Saturday afternoon, will take place at 9 a.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph’s Catholic church.  Rev. Curt A. Suezler, pastor, will officiate and burial will be in St. Joseph’s cemetery. 

 

Pallbearers will be Orville Wachs, Paul Kamerer, Raymond Macht, Matthew Ferrettie, August Weber and Frank Huba.  The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today in the Thallemer funeral home by members of the Holy Name society. 

 

Friends may call at the funeral home until the funeral hour.
