Emiel J. DeCloedt

MISHAWAKA - Emiel J. DeCloedt, 75, who had been in the dry cleaning business here for 38 years before he retired, died Saturday evening in his residence, 536 W. 11th Street. He had been ill the for the last three months. He had been a resident of Mishawaka for 56 years, coming here from Nevele, Belgium, where he was born. He married Miss Mary Meert in St. Bavo’s Catholic Church on Nov. 7, 1911. Surviving are his widow; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; six brothers; and four sisters. A son Carl died in 1943, and a daughter, Mrs. Frank Cannarecci, died in 1959.

 

Friends may call in the DeVos Funerla Chapel after 6 p.m. today and until services at 9 a.m. Wednesday in St. Bavo’s Catholic Church. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
