Celina R. De Cocker

May 4, 1915 - June 8, 1997

MISHAWAKA - Celina R. De Cocker, 82, of West 10th Street, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away after an illness at 1 a.m. on Sunday, June 8, in the St. Joseph Medical Center, South Bend, Ind.

Mrs. De Cocker was born on May 4, 1915, in Mishawaka. On Oct. 17, 1936, in St. Bavo's Catholic Church, Mishawaka, as Celina R. Maes, she married Rudolph De Cocker, who preceded her in death on May 1, 1991.

Mrs. De Cocker is survived by a son, Thomas A. (Nancy) De Cocker of South Bend; a daughter, Sharon (Fred) Swingendorf of South Bend; seven grandchildren, John De Cocker, Christine Swingendorf, Daniel Swingendorf, Karen (De Cocker) Sandock, Michael Swingendorf, Matthew Swingendorf and Susan Swingendorf; three great-grandchildren; and by a sister, Mary Hutsebout of Mishawaka.

Mrs. De Cocker was an employee of the former Uniroyal in Mishawaka for 25 years, from which she retired. She was a member of St. Bavo's Catholic Church, Mishawaka.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday in St. Bavo's Catholic Church, Mishawaka, with Rev. James Shafer officiating. Entombment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today in the Hahn Funeral Home. Wake prayers will be at 4 p.m. today in the funeral home.
