Sister M. Noelita Deiotte CSC

Sister M. Noelita (Margaret Helen Deiotte) CSC, was born in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada, to the late Edward Louis and Mary Ellen Hall Deiotte. Sister is survived by her sister, Irene (Ernest) Howard of Valparaiso, Ind.; and nieces, Peggy (Ronald) Rizzuto of Racine, Wis. and Judy (Bill) O'Brien of Hammond Ind.; and other nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Sister Noelita received her early education at schools in Indiana.

 

She entered the Congregations of the Sisters of the Holy Cross in 1936, made her first profession in 1939 and final profession in 1942. In 1939 she became a lab technician through a year's training at Mount Carmel Hospital, Columbus, Ohio, and was employed at that hospital until 1969. To enhance her skill, she attended the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology, Washington, D.C., in 1958.

 

She was active in the Ministry of Prayer until her death. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sisters of the Holy Cross Ministry with the Poor Fund, Saint Mary's, Notre Dame, IN 46556.

 

Wake services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 31, in the Church of Our Lady of Loretto, Saint Mary's, Notre Dame. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 1, in the Church of Our Lady of Loretto. The Kaniewski Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
