Casimir A. Deka (Feb. 10, 1921-Jun 27, 1992).

SOUTH BEND – Casimir A. Deka, 71, of South 33rd Street, died at 11:45 p.m. Saturday in St. Joseph’s Medical Center. Mr. Deka was an employee of the former Studebaker Corp. and retired from Wheelabrator Frye Corp., Mishawaka. He was born Feb. 10, 1921 in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident. On Feb. 11, 1946, in South Bend, he married Ethel E. Stopper. She survives with three daughters, Judy Birkner of Geneva, Ill., and Diane Watters and Nancy Berry, both of South Bend, two sons, Michael of Elkhart and Greg of South Bend; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and a brother Leo of Niles. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church Usher Club and Eagle Lodge 2083, Mishawaka.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the church. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home, where a wake will be at 7 p.m.
