Edward J. Dembinski, 44, of Mayflower Road, South Bend, Ind., died at 4:52 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, in Hospice House.

 

He was born on Aug. 4, 1953, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident. He was a chef at the University of Notre Dame.

 

Mr. Dembinski is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Gibbons of South Bend; two sons, Edward Dembinski of Elkhart, Ind., Matthew Dembinski of South Bend; his parents, Costek J. and Lorraine Rose (Hes) Dembinski of Berrien Springs, Mich.; five grandchildren, Rosemary Woltman, Roxanne Woltman, Stephanie Dembinski and Matthew S. Dembinski, all of South Bend, and Michael Gibbons of Pikeville, Tenn.; two sisters, Patricia Rose of Niles, Mich., and Christine Ann Hahaj of Berrien Springs; and by three brothers, Theodore R. Dembinski of Niles, Frederick Frank Dembinski of Bitburg, Germany, and Daniel Anthony Dembinski of Berrien Springs.

 

Mr. Dembinski was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.

 

Services will be at 10 a.m. this morning at Holy Family Catholic Church, with burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.

 

Visitation was held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday. A Rosary was recited at 6 p.m. on Friday.

 

St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Road, handled arrangements.
