SOUTH BEND - Juanita Y. Deniston, 88, of Hollyhock Road, died at 7:10 a.m. Sunday in her home of natural causes. Mrs. Deniston retired in 1967 from Uniroyal Plastics Co., Mishawaka, after 38 years of service. She was born Sept. 16, 1905, in Pierceton, and was a lifelong area resident.

On Sept. 13, 1936, in Kalamazoo, as Juanita Y. Barnette, she married James P. Deniston. He died March 3, 1976. She is survived by five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a niece, Jeane Yeager of South Bend; and a nephew, Jerry Finton of Petaluma, Calif. A son, Robert Barnette, preceded her in death.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Hollis-Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. Friends may call two hours before services Wednesday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to any charity.
