SOUTH BEND - Virginia Denny, 91, passed away at 8:44 a.m. on Saturday, March 15, in Memorial Hospital. Virginia was born on January 28, 1917, in Pierceton, IN, to the late Louis and Clarice (Cook) Cotton. She was also preceded in death by two grandchildren, Robert Reed and Patricia Denny, and by five sisters and two brothers. She is survived by a daughter, Sharon (Larry) Reed of Berryville, AR; a son, Joseph (Betty Ann) Denny of South Bend; four grandchildren, Robert Denny, Joseph Denny II, Laurie Hurban and Donald Reed; 13 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Gene Cotton of Pierceton. Virginia retired after 15 years of service from White House Manufacturing, where she had worked as a seamstress.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 20, in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery, South Bend.
