James C. Denslow

            James C. Denslow, age 80, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Bessie Garceau, 234 Oakside Street, at 10 o’clock Wednesday morning, following an illness of four years with paralysis.

            He was born in South Bend, June 18, 1842 and had been a resident here all his life.  He is survived by his daughter; one son, A. Denslow, Mishawaka; one stepson, Jessie R. Sharp; and one step daughter, Mrs. Mabel Schulte, both of South Bend.

            Funeral services will be held from the L. H. Orvis funeral chapel Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock.  Rev. M.W. Goffeney, pastor of the Zion German Evangelical Lutheran church, is officiating.  Burial will be in Bowman cemetery.

            Mr. Denslow was a member of St. Joseph lodge No. 45, F. and A. M. under whose auspices the funeral services will be held.
