GRANGER - Michael George Desimone, 62, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 11 in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka. Michael was born on November 20, 1947 in Mishawaka to Victor and Anne (Deluvia) Desimone. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Ross Desimone and a sister Sarah Rothy. Surviving are his children, Lori (Mark) Bratley and Jenny (Karl) Booth both of England, Michelle (Adam) Lichkay and Nicholas Desimone both of Granger four grandchildren, Oliver and Jake Bratley, Alfie Booth and Kayla Yakim; two brothers, Larry (Camille) Desimone and Victor (Becky) Desimone both of Osceola; brother-in-law, Sam Rothy of Mishawaka; sister-in-law, Helen Desimone of Mishawaka; his special love Phyllis Stone; 11 nieces, three nephews; 14 great nieces and 13 great nephews. Michael was a retired truck driver/supervisor for St. Joseph County Highway. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy, a member of American Legion 161, DeAmicis Club, the BK Club and the Army Reserves. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., on Tuesday, March 16, in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka, where funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Michael Cramer of New Life Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka with Military Rites by VFW Post 360/American Legion 161 burial team. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to American Cancer Society, 601 W. Edison, Mishawaka, IN 46545, or Diabetes Association of St. Joseph County, United Health Services, 6910 S.
