Augusta DeVliegher

Services for Augusta DeVliegher, 95, of Bremen Healthcare Center, formerly of Mishawaka, who died at 3:10 p.m. Tuesday in the nursing home, will be at 10 a.m. Mobnday in St. Bavo’s Catholic Church. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Hahn-DeVos Fureral Home.

 

She was a former employee of Uniroyal Plastics Co. She was born April 10, 1896 in Moerbeke, Maas, Belgium, moving to Mishawaka in 1910.  On Dec. 3, 1913, in Mishawaka, as Augusta DeCook, she married Alois DeVliegher. He died on Dec. 31, 1952. She is survived by a daughter, Margaret Steenberg of Hill City, Minn.; a son Carl J. of Bremen; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. A son, Phillip died Sept. 5, 1951. She was a member of the church.
