SOUTH BEND – Beth DeVreese, 17, of 52087 Oakland, died today in Memorial Hospital of injuries suffered Dec, 21 when she was struck by a car, while walking on Kenilworth, just north of Auten. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel DeVreese Jr. Her father is a county policeman. She was a student at Clay High School.

 

Surviving besides her parents are a sister, Ann Marie and three brothers, Richard, Jeffery and Daniel III, all at home; a paternal grandfather, Daniel F. DeVreese Sr. of South Bend, and a maternal grandmother, Mrs. Marie Aftowski.

 

Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the McGann Funeral Home. She was a member of the 4-H Horse and Pony Club.

Services for Beth DeVreese, 17, of 52087 Oakland, died at 4 a.m. Monday in Memorial Hospital of injuries suffered Dec, 21 when she was struck by a car, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Christ the King Catholic Church. Rev. Martin Bini CSC, assistant pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the McGann Funeral Home, where a prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. today.
