Brother Vianney Dillon CSC, 82, of Dujarie House, Holy Cross Junior College, died at 2 a.m. today at his residence, after a lengthy illness. He was born on Feb. 11, 1899 in Hagerstown, Md. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Cecelia Berger of Washington, DC.

 

During his many years at Notre Dame, Brother Vianney first worked at the post office, and the Ave Maria Press, and the operated the shoe shop for the religious members of Holy Cross Order for many years. He received the religious habit on July 1, 1925, and made his final profession of vows on July 2, 1929.

 

Friends may call after 4 p.m. Monday at the Holy Cross Brothers Center on the Notre Dame campus, where there will be a wake service at 7:30 p.m. in the Chapel Brothers Center. Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Chapel of St. Joseph at the Holy Cross Brothers Center. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery on the campus.
