Helen J. Dincolo, 81, of Portage Avenue in South Bend, Ind., passed away Saturday, Feb. 2, in Hospice House, South Bend. She was born on Nov. 20, 1920, in Malden, Mass., to the late John and Ellen (Whelan) Marshall. Helen was employed with Ball Band and Nehi Royal Crown Bottling Company.

On Dec. 16, 1967, she married James Dincolo, who preceded her in death on Aug. 27, 1985.

She is survived by a stepdaughter, Mary Anne Dincolo-Kerr of Waterford, Mich.; stepsons, James M. (Marti) Dincolo of South Bend and Andrew A. (Diann) Dincolo of Milford, Mich.; and by nine step- grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today, Feb. 5, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, in Holy Cross Catholic Church, with burial to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
